There is simply nothing more handy than hair ties! Woot!

Snow is like SongKran, fun for the first day and then shit.

...No actually, I lie. I still love the snow, especially when you wake up in the morning, walk outside to sunny skies, ankle deep snow and no footprints on the ground.

But after trekking through slushy, torrid streets and then hiking through the meadows and getting disoriented while carting around 14kgs worth of groceries like a pack-dog, and as the plastic bags threatens to slice off your brittle fingers... for the 78th time, I think..ENOUGH !!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe those homeless dudes are onto something with their canine sidekicks... Perhaps they all secretly have tiny sleds that come out when no1 is watching.

...... despite all my whining though, I am looking forward to building a snowman that dwarfs them all!

All other snowmen will bow to his greatness! They will look at him with great envy. He will stick his carrot nose in the air, and as spring approaches, he will be last to melt. yay!

In other news, I have FINALLY found an Asian Grocer (thats chinese, NOT indian, NOT middle-eastern)! Only to be greatly disappointed.

What! £2.45 for 3 tiny sachels of instant miso soup? .... £3 for 50g of Wasabi peas?

Oh I cry, I cry... and so i slushed my way home, with just three measly packets of kimchi noodles.

The most noticeable change I've observed in myself since my arrival in Scotland is my willingness to wear shoes indoors... In our own home...! In my own room even...!!

Oh! I bring my clan to shame... and possibly the WHOLE ASIAN RACE !!!!!!!!!

Slovenian men have a way of looking at me so intensely, it is as though something is puzzling them.

Me: Do you have an alarm clock!?

Shop Keeper 1: Yes, we have plenty of rum!!

Random: "Have you tried the beer here yet?"

me: "No...why... What about it?"

Random: "It's 4,000 dong!"

me: "Eh,...3 bucks..?"

Random: "Noo...Try 30 cents"!!!!

.....and so I got my hands on local beer

Did I get ripped off by a Tuk Tuk Driver? Or did I rip them off?

For the rest of my stay in Bangkok, I will be looking at every Tuk Tuk driver with some degree of paranoia.

I managed to get a ride off two of them, free of charge...! one of them, was addmitedly accidental, and i waited faithfully for him! Until the other drivers started harassing me, asking me where i wanted to go, telling me he wasn't coming back, and while i insisted on waiting, after 10 minutes, there was still no sign of him, so they started insisting some more. In the end i got a ride to MBK,.... for free. I didnt' quite believe it. But i hopped on, and surely enough, I didn't have to pay when I got dropped off....

o.O *so confuzzle*

The third time I got on one however he charged me 150Baht, back to the hostel. Gahhhh...

Waiting for the arrival of N'tissue..! woot woot.

...and just when I think I am the Master of Packing,
